Remembering Rose

Thank You, Rose, for Being a Light for Animals

We at Allentown Animal Care feel incredibly fortunate to have known Rose Lukoff. Her care, heart, and love for pets were unmatched. Rose was not just a coworker; she was a friend, a dedicated animal advocate, and a compassionate soul who touched the lives of everyone she met—both two-legged and four-legged.

Rose’s journey in veterinary medicine was driven by her extraordinary passion for animals. She was accepted into a prestigious program to study for a doctorate in veterinary medicine but chose instead to become a veterinary technician. This path allowed her to be hands-on with the animals she adored, providing care and comfort to them every day. Even as she bravely battled cancer, Rose’s dedication to her work never wavered. She was a proud volunteer at Animals in Distress, always eager to extend her kindness to animals in need.

Rose’s love for animals was evident in every aspect of her life. She cared for numerous pets at our hospital, forming close and lasting relationships with both the animals and their owners. Rose’s gentle touch and reassuring presence brought comfort to anxious pets and their families alike. She was truly a light for all animals, and her spirit will continue to inspire us.

Outside of her professional life, Rose was an adventurer and a lover of life. She traveled widely, finding joy in paddle boarding, hiking, and visiting amusement parks. Her adventurous spirit led her to skydiving, a testament to her fearless and vibrant nature. At home, Rose was an avid reader, enjoyed playing card games, and was a talented crafter. Her skills in cross-stitching were particularly impressive, reflecting her patience and meticulous attention to detail.

Rose’s legacy at Allentown Animal Care is one of love, courage, and unwavering dedication. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and the countless animals whose lives she touched. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her and in the lives of the many animals she cared for with such devotion.

We invite you to share your memories of Rose and join us in celebrating the beautiful life she lived. Her light will forever shine in the legacy of love and care she left behind.

We take all of our birds here. They are very competent, knowledgeable, kind and caring. We travel an hour to get here. It is worth it for the peace of mind we receive.
I love my doctor there. She knows my dogs well and listens to my concerns at the visit.
We moved to the Lehigh Valley with our three little, elderly dogs about two years ago. We found Allentown Animal Clinic right away because one of our dogs was very ill. We have been so happy with all aspects from annual exams, to toe nail trims to the dreaded teeth extractions! We always feel well informed and never feel pressured into "extras". Very thankful for a knowledgeable, caring team!
They did a great job! Very friendly and knowledgeable! My guinea pigs had a pleasant visit.
